Archipel hits number 60!

The prolific Jeff Samuel returns to Archipel to release a wonderful varied compilation album of some of his older unreleased work spanning 1999 to 2003 called "The Chester Field - 1999-2003". The release covers Jeff's trademark elastic and funky stylings right through to his gentler and more experimental, melodic, work.

Pieces such as "Totally", "Rout" and "Shift" touch upon the more funkier aspects of Jeff's work and are full of deep rubbery textures which manage to dig their nails in and clasp one's urge to get seduced into hypnotized movement. "Smuthe" and "Roundabout" are still very round and rhythmic but bring with them more melodic moments while still remaining perfectly able to send one into a pleasant trance. "Follow Me", "Member Jumbloo", "Send" and "Frost" are all more on the melodic, experimental, braindance tip and take on a more emotive light sure to etch a smile on many a prefrontal cortex.
